ABOUT THIS CLASS

Ready to sew your first pair of pants? Join instructor Pam Holmes for a hands-on garment sewing class featuring the Arden Pants by Helen’s Closet.

Designed for beginning garment sewists who are already comfortable using a sewing machine and have completed a pattern or two, this six-hour class will guide you through fitting, cutting, and constructing your own pair of Arden Pants.

You'll work through the process from taking measurements and choosing your size to adding pockets, constructing an elastic waistband, and finishing your pants.

Your printed Arden Pants pattern is included with the class.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring:

• Prewashed and dried fabric suitable for pants
• 1½-inch-wide elastic for the waistband
• Matching thread

• Fabric scissors or rotary cutter

  • If you plan to make the version with elasticized ankles, please also bring the appropriate elastic for the ankle cuffs.

Your printed Arden Pants pattern will be provided by the instructor.
