About Bib & Tucker Sew-Op
Who We Are
At Bib & Tucker Sew-Op, we believe in the transformative power of making. We aim to build community through education, economic opportunity, and sustainable practices, using the art of sewing.
The Sew-Op is a 501(c) nonprofit where everyone is both a teacher and a student no matter their age, background, or skill level. We see sewing as a path to learning essential life skills such as patience, problem-solving, and getting along with others.
We offer opportunities for economic enhancement.Teaching workshops allows artists to earn income in order to sustain their practice; students in turn may use new skills to generate extra income.
We are committed to sustainability: by teaching repair and alteration skills, recycling fabric, and promoting mindful reuse, we’re helping build a more sustainable future.
Through these efforts, we preserve sewing and quilting traditions and pass down their history, stitching together past, present, and future.
Join us in turning thread, cloth, and creativity into lasting change one stitch at a time.
