Make the Ashton Top By Helen's Closet

$50.00 USD
Join skilled sewist Pam H. as she guides you though making the Ashton Top by Helen's Closet. The Ashton Top is a great closet stable and can be made out of a range of different fabrics. This class is perfect for beginning garment sewists, familiar with using a sewing machine and ready to take on a sewing pattern.

From the Designer's website: "Try light to medium-weight cotton or linen for a structured look. Silk crêpe de chine, tencel twill, or rayon challis will result in an Ashton with more drape. Drapier fabrics work better for tucking into skirts or pants, whereas stiffer fabrics showcase Ashton’s A-line shape."

Pam is a retired preschool teacher and director of 20 years. She learned to sew when she was 6 by hand-stitching clothes for her Raggedy Ann, eventually graduating to her mother’s pink Atlas sewing machine. These days she sews not only for herself but her granddaughter, as well. Knitting, drinking coffee, watching Jeopardy, and hiking are her other favorite pastimes.
