Quilted Vest From A Vintage Quilt

Join Bib & Tucker Sew-Op members Mary Bergeron and Chita Drinkard as they teach you how to transform a vintage quilt into a one-of-a-kind jacket or vest. This class is aimed at those with intermediate or advanced sewing experience. 

Skills needed:
  • Basic knowledge of your sewing machine and comfort with sewing a basic straight stitch and curves.

During this class you will learn:

  • How to use a pattern.
  • How to upcycle a quilt.
  • How to match patterns.
  • How to use bias tape.

 

Supplies Needed:
- Tamarack Jacket pattern that can be ordered HERE or HERE
(order your pattern early to allow for shipping)

-Bring your sewing machine with basic supplies such as needles, thread, bobbins, basic feet. (If you do not have a machine you can rent one from Bib & Tucker for $15.00)

- Walking foot for your machine

- Old quilt (minimum size standard twin)

- Bias tape (contrasting or matching to your quilt)

- Brown bag lunch or snack (optional)

Time: 10:00AM - 2:00PM & 10:00AM - 1:00PM

REFUND POLICY & QUESTIONS

-Bib & Tucker is a 501c3 non-profit organization and the funds generated from this class help to compensate our instructors and fund our overall programs. For this reason we are only able to issue refunds or class credits, if WE, Bib & Tucker Sew-Op happen to cancel or reschedule this class. If YOU register for this class and are unable to attend for any reason, we offer a 50% refund for cancellations 30 or more days prior to the class, we offer no refund for cancellations less than 30 days before the class.
