Sustainable Saturdays: No Sew Scrap Collage

Join local fiber artist and maker Kyoka Akers as she teaches you how to sustainably use fabric scraps and other materials to create a collage art piece. No sewing skills needed for this fun workshop, just bring your imagination and creative energies. This free workshop is intended to help reduce textile waste in creative ways and keep textiles in use and out of the landfills. (Appropriate for ages 12 and up, children need a registered accompanying adult.)

Crafting has been woven into the fabric of Kyoka Akers' life from an early age. Introduced to the world of crochet at a young age, it ignited a passion in her that has never waned. While crocheting remains her first love, Kyoka is a versatile creator who teaches crochet and sewing classes and curated art workshops.
