Sustainable Saturdays: "Repair Your Lovey"

Join local textile artist, sewist, and cosplay clothing creator Wilhelmina Thomas as she shares her depth of knowledge and skills with you. In this workshop, participants will learn hands on practical techniques for repairing common issues with well loved stuffed animals and dolls. Students will leave being able to assess damage, choose appropriate repair methods to approach repairs, and save a beloved 'Lovey' for years of more love! This free workshop is intended to help reduce textile waste in creative ways and keep textiles in use and out of the landfills. 

Please bring your 'Lovey' (stuffed animal or doll) you wish to repair. 


 

Dates: Saturday August 15th, 2026

Time: 11AM - 2PM

Location: Bib & Tucker Sew-Op Shop, 7001 Crestwood Blvd. Suite #806, Birmingham, AL 35210
