Sustainable Saturdays: Hand stitching a scrapy doll

Join Cassie Bolden and learn how to create hand stitched a 'Palm Pal' doll with personality out of your fabric scraps. You will create a unique palm sized doll full of texture and personality. This free workshop is intended to help reduce textile waste in creative ways and keep textiles in use and out of the landfills. 

Cassie Bolden is a multidisciplinary artist who works with textiles, doll making, and whatever materials happen to find their way to her. She’s especially drawn to rescued and thrifted fabrics that already feel like they’ve lived a life and have something to say, letting intuition, sustainability, and a little ancestral guidance shape the process. With a background in yoga and group leadership, she creates spaces that are grounded, welcoming, and full of humor, where people can relax, be themselves, and make things without worrying about getting it “right.”
